The American Saddlebred mare by Schleich® Horse Club carries her head and long tail held high, which is typical of this horse breed. The American Saddlebreds used to be the riding and draft horses of the American pioneers on their way west. Today they are mainly show horses. There are Saddlebreds who, in addition to the walk, trot and canter, also master gait movements such as the slow gait and the so-called rack. The latter two are pleasantly smooth gaits with a four-stroke movement.
