Young Giganotosaurs lived in groups and quickly grew into dangerous hunters. The Giganotosaurs grew almost as large as the Spinosaurs, the largest carnivores in Earth's history. The name Giganotosaurus means "giant lizard from the south" because this type of dinosaur was found in Argentina in South America.
